Bond is back in the spotlight!

Scott is delighted to share his involvement in the critically acclaimed 007 First Light, the blockbuster James Bond origin story from IO Interactive.

Working on a project of this scale was an incredible experience, helping bring to life a fresh interpretation of one of popular culture’s most iconic franchises. Developed and published by IO Interactive, 007 First Light reimagines Bond’s early years as a young MI6 recruit earning his place within the legendary Double-0 programme.

Scott had the privilege of voicing several cut scenes within the game, including the opening, where he radios the leader of Bond’s helicopter task force with information about their mission. This photo (right) was taken from the live session for that scene and in it, from left to right are, Jack Myers, Thomas Royal and Scott Joseph. As one of the core henchmen in the game, Scott’s work on it spanned several years to ensure all the variants of fight, bluff and conversational dialogue were captured. Over this time he collaborated with an exceptionally talented creatives including Principal Dialogue Designer William Tidman, to help shape the game’s cinematic storytelling and immersive world.Three male voice artists standing in recording studio wearing headphones that have microphones mounted to them. The project was led by Game Director Hakan Abrak, with Narrative & Cinematics Director Martin Emborg, whose vision helped establish a compelling new chapter in the Bond universe.

Recording sessions took place at the renowned Molinare London, one of the UK’s premier post-production and audio facilities, whose expertise helped deliver the authentic, cinematic performances heard throughout the game.

Since launch, 007 First Light has earned widespread critical acclaim, with reviewers praising its performances, storytelling, and fresh take on the James Bond legacy.

I’d like to thank everyone at IO Interactive, Molinare, and the wider production team for the opportunity to contribute to such an exciting and ambitious title.
